Why FDA Registration Matters for Supplement Manufacturing

Dietary supplements are regulated differently than pharmaceuticals in the United States, which makes manufacturing standards especially important to check.
FDA registration means a facility is on record with the FDA and subject to inspection, while GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification reflects specific quality control standards.
Neither certification means the FDA has approved the specific product's claims - supplements are not pre-approved by the FDA the way medications are.
